Musnad Ahmad 8292 (Mu'assasat al-Risala edition, no. 8292)The same hadith of Abu Hurayra, through the same narrator Damdam ibn Jaws al-Yamami, in a longer wording: Abu Hurayra first tells him «يا يماميُّ، لا تقولنَّ لرجلٍ: واللهِ لا يغفرُ اللهُ لكَ، أو لا يُدخِلُكَ اللهُ الجنَّةَ أبدًا», never say to a man: By Allah, Allah will not forgive you, or Allah will never let you into Paradise; and when Damdam answers that people say this to a brother or a friend when they are angry, he says: do not say it, then tells the hadith. In this wording the sinner is «مُسرِفًا على نفسِه», a man who wronged himself, the words of the verse recited at the end of the film (39:53); Allah sends an angel who takes the souls of the two men; and Abu Hurayra swears by the One in whose hand is the soul of Abu al-Qasim, that is, the Prophet (peace be upon him). Text and grading as shown by al-Durar al-Saniyya (Shu'ayb al-Arna'ut, Takhrij al-Musnad, no. 8292: «إسناده حسن، ومتنه غريب»). Our summary of the Arabic; no published English translation was found.

Sahih Muslim 2621 (Book 45 (The Book of Virtue, Enjoining Good Manners, and Joining of the Ties of Kinship), Hadith 178)Another hadith with the same lesson, narrated by Jundub, in Muslim's chapter «باب النَّهْىِ عَنْ تَقْنِيطِ الإِنْسَانِ، مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى», on Sunnah.com "Chapter: The Prohibition Of Making Others Despair Of The Mercy Of Allah": a man said «وَاللَّهِ لاَ يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لِفُلاَنٍ», and Allah said «مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَتَأَلَّى عَلَىَّ أَنْ لاَ أَغْفِرَ لِفُلاَنٍ فَإِنِّي قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لِفُلاَنٍ وَأَحْبَطْتُ عَمَلَكَ». The film quotes it (in its own plain words) after the story.

Sahih al-Bukhari 3244 (Book 59 (Beginning of Creation), Hadith 55)Abu Hurayra's narration of what Allah said about Paradise: «أَعْدَدْتُ لِعِبَادِي الصَّالِحِينَ مَا لاَ عَيْنَ رَأَتْ، وَلاَ أُذُنَ سَمِعَتْ، وَلاَ خَطَرَ عَلَى قَلْبِ بَشَرٍ», what the film says when the sinner walks into Paradise. Sahih al-Bukhari 7422 (Book 97 (Oneness, Uniqueness of Allah (Tawheed)), Hadith 50)Abu Hurayra's narration: when Allah had finished creating, He wrote «إِنَّ رَحْمَتِي سَبَقَتْ غَضَبِي», "My Mercy preceded My Anger"; the film's last saying before the verse (“My mercy comes before My anger”).
