The words of the episode, from the English subtitles of the original voice.

The fish would not come to them… except on the very day they were forbidden to catch them. So they came up with a trick to catch them… …and a punishment fell upon them that no one had ever imagined.

A town of the Children of Israel on the seashore… said to be Ayla. The Sabbath was a sacred day for them: no work, no trade, no fishing. When the Sabbath came… the fish rose to the surface, as if the sea were alive. And when the Sabbath was over… they could not see a single fish. Ask them about the town by the sea, when they broke the Sabbath: their fish came up openly on the Sabbath, but on other days they did not come. This is how We tested them for disobeying. (Al-A'raf 7:163) So they came up with a trick… They dug pools on Friday; on the Sabbath the fish swam in… and could not get out.

And when the Sabbath sun had set… they gathered them up. The younger brother said to his brother: “We didn't fish on the Sabbath… the fish swam in by themselves!” And the town split into three groups. One group used the trick… and one group forbade them. “Fear Allah, my brother… this is forbidden, even with a trick!” And one group kept silent… and said to those who forbade: “Leave them… why wear yourselves out?” They answered: we forbid them so that we are excused before our Lord… and perhaps they will turn back. When they persisted… those who forbade them left, and would not live among them. One night… those who had used the trick were counting their fish. So when they ignored the warnings, We saved those who forbade evil, and punished the wrongdoers severely, because they kept disobeying. And when they defied what was forbidden, We said to them: “Be apes, despised.” (Al-A'raf 7:165–166) And that night… the command of Allah came upon them. They reached out for what Allah had forbidden… and thought the trick would protect them.

But no trick works with Allah. And they became apes… humiliated and despised.

A moment ago they were counting their fish… and now one of them looks into the water and does not know his own face. They know who they were… and they cannot go back.

In the morning… those who forbade knocked on the gate and called out… but no one answered.

So they set up a ladder… and a man climbed the wall.

And there they were: apes.

It is reported that the apes recognised their relatives among the people… but the people did not recognise them. An ape would come up to its relative… sniff his clothes, and weep. And his relative would say to him: “Didn't we warn you?” And it would nod its head… meaning: yes.

As for those who kept silent… the Quran is silent about their fate. And those who forbade evil… they are the ones who were saved. What Allah has forbidden never becomes allowed… whatever the trick. Allah does not always test us with what is hard to reach… …but sometimes, with what comes swimming right up to us.
