العربيةIslamic Anime
Qabas Anime is a free collection of Islamic anime: animated videos that tell stories from the hadith and the Quran. It is a simple way to learn Islam with animation, whether you are Muslim or have never read anything about Islam before.
Each episode is a short film. Most last between one and a half and eight minutes; the story of Prophet Yusuf lasts about seventeen. Under every video, the page shows the text the story comes from, where it is recorded, an explanation in everyday words, the lessons it teaches and a few questions to think about.
These Islamic animated videos are made to be clear for everyone. We avoid technical words, and when a word from Arabic is needed, we explain it.
Hadith anime
A hadith is a report of what the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said or did. The people who heard him passed these reports on, and scholars later wrote them down in collections such as Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Many hadiths are stories: a man who killed ninety-nine people and still hoped Allah would forgive him, three men trapped in a cave, a young boy who stood up to a cruel king.
Our Hadith anime episodes retell these stories. Each page names the collection and the number of the hadith, links to its text in Arabic and in translation, and explains how scholars of hadith have judged it, so anyone can check it.
Quran anime: stories from the Quran
The Quran is the holy book of Islam. Muslims believe it is the word of Allah, given to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It tells the stories of earlier prophets and peoples, and it describes the Day of Judgement.
Our Quran anime episodes bring these stories to the screen, such as the story of Prophet Yusuf (Joseph) and the story of Gog and Magog. The verses quoted in each episode appear on its page in Arabic and in a published translation, with the name of the chapter and the verse number.
Islamic stories
Some episodes retell a traditional tale that is not a hadith, such as The King and the Grateful Minister. Their pages say clearly that the tale is a story told for its lesson, and they show separately the authentic hadith and verses it quotes.
